Thank you for joining us in supporting the clean up and restoration of Sweetwater Sanctuary. While the full extent of the damage from the Soberanes wildfire is still unknown, we are committed to the long term goal of the restoration and rebuilding of Sweetwater.

In the short term, there is much work to be done including clean up of the fire damaged structures,  trees and land; assistance to the caretakers who lost many of their belongings when their residence was destroyed; restoration of infrastructure including power, water and roads; and planning for the rebuilding of the caretaker house and retreat cabins. All this will need to be done before we can actually begin to rebuild.

While the property was covered by fire insurance, the initial funds received were used to pay off the bridge loans which enabled us to purchase the property. Due to continued heavy rains, bridge outages and unstable ground, a complete understanding of what it will cost to restore the land and build anew is unknown. We will provide information on this page as it becomes available.
We anticipate that it will be sometime before the full scope of land recovery and construction costs is determined. As these factors become clear, we will provide a building fund budget and projected fundraising needs.
In the meantime, we appreciate your concern, prayers and financial support. Your donation in any amount is greatly appreciated. It is only through your generosity that we can make this  journey of restoring Sweetwater Sanctuary together.

Donations can be made online using Paypal here. The button below will take you to Paypal, and return you to the Sweetwater Sanctuary website. Thank you for your generosity.
