Financial support for the restoration and rebuilding of Sweetwater Sanctuary:

Thank you for joining us in supporting the clean up and restoration of Sweetwater Sanctuary. We are committed to the long term goal of the restoration and rebuilding of Sweetwater Sanctuary as a place where anyone in the Dharmata Sangha can retreat on a donation only basis.

There is much work to be done on restoration of infrastructure including power, water and roads (access to the land is still very limited) as well as planning and permitting for the rebuilding of the caretaker house and retreat cabins. All this will need to be done before we can actually begin to rebuild.

While the property was covered by fire insurance, the initial funds received were used to pay off the bridge loans which enabled us to purchase the property. Due to continued instability of land and roads, a complete understanding of what it will cost to restore the sanctuary and build anew is still being determined. We will provide information on this page as it becomes available.

We anticipate that it will be some time before the full scope of land recovery and construction costs are determined. As these factors become clear, we will provide a building fund budget and projected fundraising needs. In the meantime, we appreciate your concern, prayers and financial support to cover monthly maintenance costs for the sanctuary. Your donation in any amount is greatly appreciated. It is only through your generosity that we can make this journey of restoring Sweetwater Sanctuary together. Donations can be made online using PayPal below. The button will take you to PayPal and return you to this website when the transaction is complete. Thank you for your generosity.
