There are currently three cabins set up for people coming on retreat. Initially, we are offering cabins for one to two week stays with the intention of offering shorter and longer time frames as we become more established. To set up a retreat time, please contact Kay and Cory at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kshanti – Patience
Kshanti is nestled in the trees near the shrine yurt and communal kitchen and bath. It is set up for individual retreat time with a bed and side table, a wood stove, and a bench.
Dhyana – Meditation
Dhyana sits above the shrine yurt and kitchen/bath area with with a view of the surrounding hills and canyons. It is set up for individual retreat time with a bed and side table, a wood stove, and a bench.
Prajna – Wisdom
Prajna sits on its own higher up the hillside. It has two stories and has its own kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor tub. It is available for stays by one or two individuals or for couples.
There are a number of other facilities on the land including a house for the resident caretakers, a tool shed, a swimming pool and sauna building, and a shrine yurt and communal kitchen and bathhouse.
Sunyata – Meditation Yurt
Sunyata is the Sanskrit word for Emptiness – a teaching at the heart of Mahayana Buddhism. The yurt in the heart center of the land has been transformed into a meditation room, which can be used by guests as a place to practice.
Near the yurt is a communal kitchen and bathhouse, which can be used by guests staying in the cabins.
Vidya – Exertion
A large shed on the road to the Prajna provides ample storage for tools and other supplies.
Dana – Generosity
The main house at the entrance to the property is called Dana – generosity. It is the residence of the caretakers for the land and the office to welcome guests.
Shila – Discipline
A small cottage behind Dana is called Shila – discipline. It can be used as an extra room for guests who are helping on the land.
Pool and Sauna
Above Dana is a swimming pool and Japanese sauna, which are available to everyone who comes to the land.
